Worship Gatherings

What to expect

Imago Dei Church gathers weekly on Sundays at 9 & 11 am. We offer live translation into Spanish during the 9 am service.

Here are a few things you will experience at IDC:

Certain aspects of the service will be consistent every week. One of those aspects is reading Scripture out loud together. At times, we also recite ancient confessions like The Apostles’ Creed, and we often conclude by reciting a biblical prayer, such as the Lord’s Prayer.

You can expect a mix of modern and ancient songs that magnify Christ. Our worship leader strives to lead us in songs that are biblically faithful and full of praise to God.

We hope to foster an atmosphere of prayer while we worship together. Our elders will often pray from the stage. Also, we hope that our observance of the Lord’s Supper will be a time of reflection and prayer.

We typically go through books of the Bible, studying a passage each week. The weekly sermon is also reviewed and discussed in our Growth Groups throughout the week. We aim to exalt Jesus in every sermon and apply the truths of the selected text to our lives practically. We also hope that the listeners will be reproducers (teaching God’s Word to others), not just receivers.

We take the Lord’s Supper every Sunday in order to remember Christ’s atoning death and our identity as members of one body. This is also a time for repentance and renewal in our commitment to remember our future hope.

Offerings are an important part of worship. Offering boxes are located on the walls near the entrance to the auditorium. You can also give here. If you are a visitor to IDC, we do not expect you to give. We are simply glad to have you join us.

We welcome any children into the service to worship alongside our family of faith. We don’t mind a little noise. We also provide childcare for birth through Pre-K during corporate worship.

We provide childcare for birth through Pre-K during the 9:00am & 11:00am worship services. The childcare check-in area is located in the front, west hallway. For more information about our IDC Kids ministry, visit our Family Discipleship page.

Growth Groups

At Imago Dei, we long to see believers grow into the image and likeness of Christ. We believe one way God accomplishes this is through missional community: living life together and challenging one another to grow as disciples of Christ. We desire to be a church where meaningful relationships are formed, in the spirit of Hebrews 10:25.

IDC Growth Groups are a place for our members (and guests) to begin living out our core values of Gospel, Community, and Mission. Growth Groups meet weekly throughout the fall and spring around the following pursuits:

Mutual Discipleship

Fellowship & Prayer

Evangelism and Disciple-Making

Use this map to see when and where our groups meet. To request more information about joining a growth group, click “Join” and your information will be sent to a Growth Group leader.

If you are interested in visiting a Growth Group, please talk with one of our Growth Group leaders, or contact us via email: [email protected].

*Adult groups are mixed ages & genders.

Membership

We believe that the most important and valuable way to be involved in Imago Dei Church is through covenant membership.

If you are interested in becoming a member at IDC (or if you just want to learn more about IDC), the first step is to attend our membership class. There you will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions about the IDC community and our various areas of ministry. Afterward, you will be able to introduce yourself to IDC through our prospective member introduction. The process concludes with new members being introduced to the church family at one of our Members’ Meetings, which are for new and current members and are typically held the first Sunday of each month at 4 pm.

If you have questions about membership at IDC, please email [email protected].
